What had you achieved by the time you were 23?
Not judging and there is no wrong answer, but there is a name we are likely to be hearing a lot about in the coming years that you might like to know about, given his achievements so far.
It’s 23 year old Collin Morikawa.
He can drive a golf ball 274 yards at a speed of 165 mph and doing just that under pressure landed the Californian his first major golf title and a cheque for $1,980,000 thanks to his -13 under total in the PGA Championship in San Francisco.
He’s not easily rattled. There was a 7 way tie for the lead on the last day and the Californian hit the lowest final round by a PGA champion in 25 years, for a two-shot victory over Paul Casey and Dustin Johnson.
Morikawa joins Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as 23-year-olds to win the PGA.
CBS TV in the US reckon he’s capable of unreal unrale shots!
He comes across as a sound fella too.
Mind you his big win didn’t go entirely to plan!
Remember the name!
