I know we are not out of the coronavirus lockdown yet but is it too early to talk about Christmas presents?
Sony have unveiled their new PS5 console which is likely to be on the market here just before Christmas with an expected price tag of around 500 euro.
There is only one word to sum up the piece of kit that has gamers going crazy: delicious.
The console will come in two options: a PlayStation®5 console with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a PlayStation®5 Digital Edition without a disc drive.
As well as a roster of games, more about that ahead, Sony chiefs are very excited about the new game controller.
Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management told the Sony blog ‘We had a great opportunity with PS5 to innovate by offering game creators the ability to explore how they can heighten that feeling of immersion through our new controller. This is why we adopted haptic feedback, which adds a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play, such as the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud. We also incorporated adaptive triggers into the L2 and R2 buttons of DualSense so you can truly feel the tension of your actions, like when drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.’

DualSense also adds a built-in microphone array, which will enable players to easily chat with friends without a headset
The company showcased nine titles at it’s launch, kicking off with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, among the headliners, but here is our favorite, Stray.
The graphics are gorge, the worlds look fab, but are you the robot or are you the cat? We will have to wait until 2021 to find out.😋😋
Another that caught our eye?
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from Insomniac Games.
A brand new intergalactic adventure from Insomniac Games that showcases what’s possible for games designed around PS5’s ultra-high speed SSD and DualSense wireless controller. Players will seamlessly travel through different dimensions in mid-gameplay, thanks to PS5’s ultra-high speed SSD. The DualSense wireless controller brings combat to life, with haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers adding powerful sensations that increase immersion in combat.
Not forgetting, the latest adventure in the Spider-Man universe will build on and expand Marvel’s Spider-Man through an all-new story.
Players will experience the rise of Miles Morales as he masters new powers to become his own Spider-Man.
With PS5’s ultra-fast SSD, players can ‘near-instantaneously fast-travel across Marvel’s New York City, or feel the tension of each one of Miles’s web-swings, punches, web shots, and venom blasts with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback’ says the company. ‘Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man.’
Not even out of the lockdown yet and already more problems envisaged later in the year in bagging one of these beauts🙄🙄🤞🤞
