What are the Irish acts to follow right now? Wonder no more! Thanks to RTÉ 2FM who have published a Rising star list for 2021. Chosen by a panel of experts, it consists of ten cutting edge music acts that they say will have listeners buzzing with their fresh new sound.
The ten artists are: For Those I love, Shiv, The Clockworks, Shane Codd, Lea Heart, Monjola, Robert Grace, Bobbi Arlo, Gemma Dunleavy and Plantain Papi.
In previous years, names on the Rising list have included: Fontaines D.C. Wyvern Lingo, Lyra, and Dermot Kennedy.
Shane Codd
Definitely a man to follow. Born in Dublin but moved to Cavan at the age of 11.
His musical influences are dance music in the 90s and 00s and also EDM artists like Avicii and Swedish House Mafia.
We love it!

Then there’s Shiv. A Zimbabwean/Irish musician based in Dublin with incredibly soulful sounds.
