Manchester United’s forward, Marcus Rashford, 22, has contributed to what has been called a ‘welcomed U-turn’, by Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. The footballer wrote a wordy letter to MPs asking for the decision not to allocate food vouchers to students outside of term-time to be reversed.
Wow, just got home from training and Iโm blown away with the support. Itโs not over yet, letโs keep retweeting and tagging local MPs. We need to be the voice for those 200,000 children who have no choice but to skip meals today, I refuse to give up ๐ฃ #maketheUturn

We’ve all had our bit to say about the unjustified wealth accumulated amongst celebrities and sports stars, with much controversy surrounding whether or not so much money should be left in the hands of a few. However, when good deeds like this come along we can be thankful at least one wealthy star has thought to utilise his power for the better.
The twenty-two-year-olds sports stars involvement in the debate against poverty, specifically involving poverty amongst children, lead to the reversed decision by parliament to grant a “COVID summer food fund”. The campaign involving Mr Rashford will see over 1.3 million children in England being able to claim free school meal vouchers during the summer holidays.
ยฃ120 million will be allocated to the fund to keep children in difficult circumstances fed throughout the summer months.
The Manchester forward showed his gratitude for the MPs decision, taking to Twitter with “Look what we can do when we come together, this is England 2020”.
I donโt even know what to say.

Just look at what we can do when we come together, THIS is England in 2020.
The campaigners club showed their support and admiration for his work tweeting “A hero. An inspiration. One of our own.”

Maybe not all wealth is bad and not all power is corrupt? Maybe we just need to concentrate on giving it to the right people?๐ Either way, we think this was one unrale job by this unreal player!๐๐ฝ
