Music’s Going Virtual

Fan of Electric Picnic and the plethora of summer festivals Ireland hosts?

You’re going to have to wait until 2021 as covid 19 has put paid to them as the country continues the drive to suppress the virus.

But never fear music fans.

There is some live musical entertainment on the horizon for you to enjoy.

It’s a virtual music festival, PlayOn Fest supporting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO), powered by the UN Foundation.

As part of a three-day live streaming event, PlayOn Fest promises to bring energy and high production values from world class stages including Coachella, Sydney Opera House, and Lollapalooza, to music fans hungry for communal live experiences.

Warner Music Group labels have opened up their vaults to relive epic show-stopping performances for this one-time-only live viewing event.

Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Green Day, Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, Janelle Monáe, Twenty One Pilots and David Guetta are amongst the artists who’ve signed up.
